    Unanswered: Upgrade Access to 2007

    Hello Everyone
I have recently u pgraded to MS Access 2007. When I installed 2007 I didn't want to remove Acesss 2003. I have a lot of Access databases and I wanted to keep Access 2003 because the UI is so different in 2007 I wanted time to learn the completely learn the new ui at my leisure and not have to struggle learning everything in my daily work.

My question is: Everytime I open Access 2007 or any other MS Office 2007 program, I get the message, "Please wait while MS Office is conconfigured" or something to that effect. This process seems to take forever when you are in a hurry but in reality probably on takes a minute or two. Can anyone tell me what I can do to eliminate the process?

    Thanks
    GEM

That is called the Office 2007 coffee break and if you have the latest updates it has been minimized but not eliminated.

You mean you have to go through this every time you open a 2007 office application! I have the latest updates because I just installed and I had to go through the routine of the updates.

Only after you use Access 2003.

You should only get it when you switch between versions. I have 2000 and 2007 on a computer, and I only get it when I switch to 2007 having run 2000. I have heard that 2003/2007 gets it both ways, but can't confirm that.
