    Unanswered: can not create data file in shared hardisk

    Dear friends,

    I 've create a data table and imported data into it. My data table have 4 data files

    After that, I want to add more data files. I want to place new data files in one

    shared hardisk in my network.The disk is shared with full control. But when I

    create them Oracle displayed error that access denied.

    Anyone pls help me to solve this problems!

    So change the permissions to permit oracle write access.

    By the way, this problem has NOTHING to do with Oracle directly.
    The problem & solution are completely Operating System dependent & we (TINW) have no idea which OS is being discussed.

    Can Oracle support an NFS mounted disk? I know MS SQL Server will not.

    Hi,

    That shared resource belongs to a server or a workstation?

    Besides rights , you may also check for established quotas ... if any
