    create table objects
    ( id integer not null primary key
    , flooble blob not null
    );
    create table relationships
    ( id1 integer not null
    , id2 integer not null
    );

    Hey! You copied my database schema!
    How did you manage to get past our network security?
    If it's not practically useful, then it's practically useless.

    This probelm description is too vague for me to offer much help. Can you either provide a URL where I can see the original assignment as it was given, or scan the hardcopy of the assignment as it was passed out in class?

    I want to know what school is giving "design an advanced O/R DBMS" as a homework assignment. I'm all about tough love, but that's a little extreme.

    hello poshie, I'm not sure which platform you intend to do this from, so i cant be sure that this will be useful, but i had to develop an O-R database in oracle while i was at uni. I found this website extremely useful as it steps you through creating the database using PL/SQL.

    One thing i will say though. Get your UML right first though, otherwise you will have no idea where to start.

    P.S. if anyone knows of a similar resource for t-sql i would be very grateful
