    Unanswered: SQL 2005 Reboot Schedule

Do you guys reboot your SQL 2005 servers at a set schedule? If so, how often are you rebooting the servers?

most of our dedicated boxes are clustered with no other apps running, and they're pretty solid. I don't have a set schedule per se, but I've been doing about 1-2 times a year, if that. Most of the time though, I'm doing something on the box (applying an OS patch, tweaking memory settings, etc...), and am just rebooting just because I already have the maintenance window to do it. I have had some boxes up for almost a year without any issues.

if you're not rebooting once a month, - you're not patching your servers regularly. If you're rebooting them 1-2 times a year, - you're asking for trouble.
