Unanswered: Can not execute db2start or db2stop cmds

    Hi all,

Trying to start DB2 but when i execute db2start cmd i get the following error message:

db2start: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

    I'm running DB2 V8 on Linux.

Still very new to this so i'm not sure what to do. Thanks in advance.

You need to provide more information.

    1) Is this a new installation or an upgrade?
    2) Did you apply any fixpacks recently?
    3) What user are you using to run db2start?

Please provide any other info you have and please be specific.

I guess you installed a new FixPak and skipped some of the steps listed in the README. You may want to try running "db2iupdt" to get your DB2 instances to the latest level of code.
