Unanswered: unable to install AROMA db...

i'm new to DB2....i was trying to install Aroma databse from ibm Developerworks site and i actually downloaded and installed on my system after the installation what i find is that one of the tables "Sales" was not installed .
i used create_aromadb.dat command and i've IBM DB2 UDB version 8 installed on my machine.
follwoing information was found when i opened report.txt...
    SQL0204N "AROMA.SALES" is an undefined name. SQLSTATE=42704
can someone help me get started with AROMA database...
    thanks,

    Something doesn't smell right.

Isn't the Aroma database for Red Brick DBMS?

    thanks marcus for ur reply...
but it was clearly mentioned in one of the DB2 tutorial @developerworks that i would need to install Aroma Database to get hands-on exercises...
and it was meant for DB2 express-C but i dont think there should be any problem with UDB v8......

I would try to find a DBA to help you. It is hard to determine your problem without having access to your system.

    thanks a lot....
u may find this information useful that mt system runs on windows XP pro SP2..Db2 version 8.
and apparently almost all other tables are working fine. i can even get the access to all the data in those tables barring the monstrous "Sales" table....

The SALES table in the Aroma database has a column with an XML data type, which was first introduced in DB2 V9.

If you don't care about the XML data, you could edit file aroma_create.txt and make the following changed:

    1. remove the column name "Comments" in the DDL to create the SALES table,
    2. remove the "xml from XMLFiles" clause from the IMPORT statement (right after the create table), and
    3. remove the Comments column name on the same IMPORT command.

    Then rerun the create_aromadb.bat file.
