Unanswered: Problems restoring a database
I get this error when trying to restore a database:
System.Data.SqlCLient.SqlError: The media set has 2 media families but only 1 provided. All members must be provided. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo)
Is there anyway to correct this problem? I am running SQL Server 2005. I backed my database to a file called 'c:\backup01.bak' - I then uninstalled SQL Server and reinstalled. Now I get the aforementioned error when trying to restore.

I think it is mad because the mdf and ldf files are in a new location. Try scripting your restore specifying the WITH MOVE argument. See BOL for syntax. If one brings so much courage to this world the world has to kill them or break them, so of course it kills them. The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry. Earnest Hemingway, A Farewell To Arms.
