Unanswered: 64 bit db2 performance tuning

we have upgraded the db2 v8 from 32bit to 64bit. OS AIX 5.0 64bit. If we wants to tune the performance of the databases, what are all the key areas we need to consider to improve the performance of the database?

The only fundamental difference between 32bit and 64bit systems is that a larger address range is available. (This does not only apply to DB2 but for other software products as well.) Therefore, tuning of a 64bit system is very much the same as tuning a 32bit system. The main advantage is that you can increase buffer pools beyond the limits on 32bit systems (assuming you have the physical memory to back this up).
