    Unanswered: How to Stop One Database Under Single Instance???

    Hi All,
    How can I stop only one database so that the users can't access that database under single instance if there are running more than one databases under same instance?

    Hi Pawan,

    You can stop a single database by deactivating it.

    Try:

    db2 deactivate database <db_name>

    i did it but still users are connectiong.....

    anyother option????

    quiesce the said db with force connections

    Diactivating does not stop anything.

    If you want users to stop using a particular DB. Revoke all connect and possibly other acces that is given to users. Consult syscat.dbauth and db cfg for that.
