Unanswered: Db2 Backups using task Manager

DB2 V9. Using the task Manager to do backups our Databases. Problem is have to manually go out everyday and delete old backups (and log files for the one database that is doing archive logging)

is there anyway to have DB2 delete these old backups automatically? How does everyone else handle this??

There are many different ways that backups can be performed. Disk, TSM, Tape, third party, etc. Offline, online, incremental, delta, etc. It is really too complicate to have DB2 handle all possible combinations and scenarios. That is why it is left to the DBA. I thing I can say most linux/unix DBAs use a cron job to delete unnecessary images if they are to disk.

Thanks. We are running DB2 on Windows. Sounds like I will have to continue to check for successfull completion daily and then manually delete. thanks.
