    Unanswered: ODBC connection

I have one user that is having problems with an ODBC connection in Access (works fine for me and for several other users). When trying to open an ODBC linked table or a query with an ODBC linked table in it, an error is immediately produced stating "ODBC - connection 'XXX' failed (XXX being the connection name). The user is not even asked for a username and password. If I open the ODBC Administrator and test the connection, the dialog to enter a username and password comes up and the user can log in just fine. I've had the user restart Access and the PC to no avail.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Nevermind. The name of the connection did not match the name in the tnsnames file.

Check the tnsfile is using the correct IP address. Or copy the tnsfile from a machine that is working and paste it to the location the current tnsfile is.
