Unanswered: Exposing Oracle PL/SQL stored procedure as webservice

Is it possible to expose a Oracle PL/SQL stored procedure as webservice which can be deployed in Websphere Application Server?

An Oracle PL/SQL procedure does not really know or care who or what calls it; as long a valid permissions exist.
If code residing in/on Websphere can invoke any PL/SQL procedure; then the answer is "YES".

    Question

Knowing that Oracle Application Server requires mod_plsql to be able to execute procedures, I must assume that websphere also requires this module.

FWIW - mod_plsql is actually an Apache plugin.

    >I must assume that websphere also requires this module.

You do know what happens when "assume" things; don't you?

Keep in mind that Oracle Express can inter-operate with Oracle RDBMS without any Application Server of any kind.

If one is a glutton for punishment, you could write PLSQL Server pages as one alternative.

    Cool

Oracle {Application} Express has nothing to do with this post and as you mention, it's a special Oracle product that does not require the Application Server.

In fact the OP did not specify any Oracle RDBMS version either.

It's of no consequence if mod_plsql is Apache plugin, I said "assume" because I do not know websphere, but a better word is I "suspect" that it has to use this "plugin" and therefore the OP will be motivated to check this out in the manuals.
