I am facing problems with grouping the fields in access query.
I have a list of employees under category 'A' and 'D'. I need to do an alpha sort for employee names under each category separately, i.e for category 'A' I need to list employees in alphabetical order and category 'D' I have to do the same.
I have many other fields like employee nos. etc to be retrieved from the same query.
I searched for tips on google but couldn't figure out what to do.
In the Sorting and Grouping dialog for the report, put Category first, then give it a group header or group footer (or both). Under that, in the same dialog, a line for your Employee Name, that doesn't have a group header or group footer.
