Unanswered: Mailmerge problem - hoping a no brainer?

I have a table with coname, dst, pdf and jpg as fields.

Through a form I am building the data up with a view to mailmerging in Word so that I can look up x coname and then see the related dst, pdf and jpg files with that company.

What I want is to then mailmerge so that there are hyperlinks in the mailmerged doc to the files on a network drive so that I would see....

    Joe Blogs Company
    L:\logo.dst
    L:\doc.pdf
    L:\otherlogo.jpg etc

Notion is that it is a quick way to navigate and find files associates with xconame etc.

Trouble is that I am not sure how to create navigable hyperlinks in Word, if the table field is a hyperlink it defaults to http:// and not the L:\ or other drive I want.

    Am I making any sense?

    Thanks awfully.

Use file:// before the path and file name.

    file:// replaces http://

Enter file://L:\logo.dst in your table or store the path and file name in a text field and append the prefix (file://) in a query to use as the source of the mailmerge.

At the front of the hyperlink's text. File://L:\doc.pdf for example.
