    Unanswered: Report print preview idea

    Hello,
I have an idea, but don't know if possible and if yes how.
I have different report ever show as print preview.
My idea is if is possible to have for user option by click to print, send to email or to word.
So when is open active report in preview that also is open little form with three bottm: print, email and word. So user will click one of this bottom action will take from active report. So one form, not made for ever report new form with this bottom.
    Is this possible?

its a peace of cake put a button in your report and in its click event open the form you are talking about with those buttons....
but there is an alternative, put those buttons (i.e Print, e-mail, and word) in header section of your report and set thier Display When Property to Screen Only so it won't be apear in your print

What version of Access is it?

I don't understand exactly what you want, but I do know that you can't put buttons on reports and have users click those buttons. It doesn't work. It might in Access 2007, but I'm not even convinced of that yet.

I see this working on Access 97, but have no idea how do to it.
For who maybe not understand complete, imagine to have print preview report and in middle of screen additional form with three bottom.

Ok, so you need to create a custom dialog box to present the 3 buttons and call it up on the report's On Open event procedure... or something similar to that.

Personally, I would either present the options before launching the report or after closing it or even using a custom menu, so they can choose File - Print, File - Email or File - Export to Word while viewing the report.
