Easiest and fastest way SQL Server 2005 => Oracle

    Hi!

Which is the easiest and fastest way to migrate from my existing SQL Server 2005 database to Oracle? Tables, constraints, keys - no stored procedures.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Is this a one-time conversion? Or, will you need to do this routinely?

(btw. "Fastest" and "Easiest" may be mutually exclusive...)

Go back to your notes from the first class session. Very early in the session, the first time that she said "Write this down!" she gave the answer to this question, and she also told you that it would be on the take-home part of the final exam.

She uses this question year after year, and only a few people seem to get it from any given session.

Yes, one time conversion. And no data should be migrated, schema only.

Isn't there the ability to export schema from SQL Server and then import that into Oracle (I'm not sure about the importing into Oracle part) since I'm 100% SQL Server. Export or backup the SQL Server db.
