    Thumbs down Unanswered: I want to update my Table but it has 30 fields so how can i modify my table i have to

    I want to update my Table but it has 30 fields so how can i modify my table i have to add some fields in it


    I need that query for alter table

    in it

    me not know...you be quick...

    Can you be more specific as to what you need? Do you need a query to UPDATE the table, or a statement to ALTER its structure by adding another field/fields to it?

    i need query to modify table means i have to add new fields in the exist table


    but i have 67 field in my table ,i cant add new field by manully i have to fire query for that

    You can do this through Enterprise Manager (2000) or Management Studio (2005), both of which give you the option to script out the modifications.
    If it's not practically useful, then it's practically useless.

    You could at least copy/paste from my initial question as to what you'd like to do by saying "modify table". Is it UPDATE or ALTER?

    i like to do Alter table
    means add new fields in already exist table by query

    Right-click on the table and select "ModifY".
    Add, delete, or change the columns, datatypes, properties, indexes, whatever you want.
    In the menu bar, select [Table Designer], [Generate Change Script].
    Copy the script.
    Close the table without saving your changes.
    If it's not practically useful, then it's practically useless.

    just 18 mins before this post you said it had 30 fields. your table is multiplying fast, add a table called Family_Planning.
