    Unanswered: Gather_stats_job

    Hi
    Does the GATHER_STATS_JOB compute statistics for all tables in the database or manually do I need compute statistics for all schemas by statement like :
    dbms_stats.gather_schema_stats(ownname=> 'HR' , cascade=> TRUE, Degree=> 8);

    Oracle 10g

    I mean the default gather_stats job that comes after installing oracle 10g

    The default is to collect statistics for all objects of the database with STALE statistics.
