I have an existing database which is on aix platform and need to create a replica on a windows mc so what is the fastest way of doing it .
The way I know is as follows : db2look and copy the stucture ( which is changing from unix format to windows ) and export and import data .

That is about it. You need db2look to get the DDL for all of the objects. Then you can use db2move (which is export-import/load under the covers) to copy the data from aix to windows.

For creating the objects, you only have db2look. For copying the data, db2move is fairly painless.

If you want to, you could federate all the tables in aix onto the windows system and then use load from cursor to insert the data. This could be very time consuming, depending on the number of tables you have.
