    Unanswered: Sql6031n ???

    Hello there,

    i am using db2 V9.1 on Solaris.
i am not able to fire any db2 command. i am getting following error.

    -bash-3.00$ db2
SQL6031N Error in the db2nodes.cfg file at line number "1". Reason code
    "10".
    -bash-3.00$

i checked file "db2nodes.cfg". it shows the entry

    0 DBSolaris 0

i think its a valid entry.

Please suggest what should i do?

    May be read the manual?

SQL6031N Error in the db2nodes.cfg file at line number "<line>". Reason
    code "<reason-code>".

    Explanation:

The statement cannot be processed because of a problem with the
db2nodes.cfg file, as indicated by the following reason codes:

    ...

    (10) The hostname at line "<line>" of the db2nodes.cfg file in the
    sqllib directory is not valid.
    ---
"It does not work" is not a valid problem statement.

The problem is that your host name entry in db2nodes.cfg is not matching the host name of your system.
