Unanswered: pull subscription creation error 22002
Using MSSQL 2000, SP 4.
I'm unable to create a pull subscription to my delivery db, and can't figure out why.
1. connecting to registered server
2. using SQL Server authentication
3. subscription is anonymous
4. snapshot downloaded using FTP
5. subscription updated on demand only
Error message: SQL Server Enterprise Mangage could not create a pull subscription to publication 'xxxxxxxx'.
Error 22002: RegCreateKeyEx() returned error 5, 'Access is denied.'
I'm not even sure that this is that much of a db issue. Given the content of the error message, I think it might be more of a permissions/rights thing. If anyone has any insights into this error, help please.
By the way, I'm not a dba, and have limited experience with SQL.
Thanks in advance.

It's a security issue, related to the permissions of the service account for SQLAgent on the FTP site. Check with your sysadmin to allow write permissions for it. Of course I assume that your SQLAgent is running under domain account"The data in a record depends on the Key to the record, the Whole Key, and
nothing but the Key, so help me Codd."
