    Unanswered: Express and Enterprise Editions

    Hi All,

I was wondering if anybody knows if SQL Server 2005 Express Edition 32 bit will have any issues connecting to SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition 64 bit.

what do you mean connecting? do you mean using SSMS Express to manage a EE 64 bit server?

I have an application that connects to the database on the cluster (EE 64 bit) and the same application also resides on the workstation with the database on the workstation as well (Express 32 bit). There are will be cases when the cluster is not accessable the users will have to use the db on their workstation, and when the cluster is available again they will push the data from db on the workstation to the db on the cluster. Any issues with that?

your app should be able to connect to each without problems. all that's different is the connection string.

I imagine it will be a headache to keep things synchronized though. N local databases (one for each user) and one central one - seems complicated to me.
