    Unanswered: MOM Alert

    Hello,

    We are getting this alert from MOM every few hours and cannot figure out how to fix it. Any ideas?

    Severity: Warning
    Status: New
    Source: SQL Server 2005 Service Availability
    Name: SQL Server 2005 Long Running Agent Jobs
    Description: The long running jobs query failed for SQL instance (MSSQLSERVER). Error -2147217911:The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object 'sp_help_jobactivity', database 'msdb', schema 'dbo'.

    Looks like the user trying to run the sproc does not have permissions.

    Did you remember to grant rights to execute via the GRANT EXECUTE statement?

    Code:
    GRANT EXECUTE ON sp_help_jobactivity TO yourUserName

    Check your MOM's account (service that is, not checking) and make sure it meets the requirements from MOM's installation documentation in terms of permissions on a target server.
