    Hi,

We have a need to read and extract transactions from our z/OS DB2 logs. Db2 is version 8. Is there are way to do this?

Good DBAs are not formed in a week or a month. They are created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good DBAs.

Could you explain why exactly you think you need to read the DB2 logs? Maybe there is another, simpler solution for your real problem than reading log records and trying to cope with version dependencies that come along with this.
