Unanswered: NoLock Hints in SQL 2005

Do nolock hints work across server links in 2005 (to 2000 Server), the procedure compiled and ran successfully, just don't know if it is ignoring the nolock or not.

    Thanks

To implement it reliably, create a view with table hints on remote server, and then modify your procedure to reference that view instead of the table itself. Even more reliably will be to create an indexed view and use with (NOEXPAND).

nothing but the Key, so help me Codd."

Yes we did it like this in 2000 as well as used OpenQuery, I just thought nolock worked since SQL 2005 did not complain when it was run and/or compiled.
