    Unanswered: Rename field Names

When I rename a Field Name in a Table, is there a way I can rename the reference in all the Forms, Queries and Macros that use it?

Not as far as Im aware.. or at least not without a lot of VBA programmign seeking occurances of the old name and repalcing.....

Pay the price of changing the name, and learn the lesson on naming tables or columns..... take more time to think the problem before committing to actaully designing tables and queries
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton

I've heard the find/replace function in this free tool can help:

awesome, tried it and it works great... since I did not write the DB I am working on, had no control of how the original dev names fields..

    Another tool as well

Speed Ferret is a really neat tool as well. You can download a trial version that works real well. I'm not sure if they've got it working for 2007 yet but I've used it on 2000 and 2002.

Just a BTW, Access 2007 has a neat little feature that when you rename a field it offers to change it everywhere. However, the tables have to be local to what you want changed... a split database won't change much.

I have Speed Ferret, and it is a nice tool (but not free). I've heard they were updating it for 2007, but don't know for sure.

StarTrekker, if you're referring to Name AutoCorrect, it's still considered too buggy to rely on (and I don't think it changes code):

TBH, I've never used it ^.^ I tend to turn the auto-correct options off.
