    Unanswered: Making Quries?

What should your goal be when making queries? I feel like my projects queries have become... muddled? Should I try to put as much as possible into each query or put as little as possible into them? I just feel like I have lost my focus for my queries? I hope this makes sence, I just want to know what people who know what they are doing focus on when making dB queries, mine do what I want them to do but I feel like there are so many, and so many doing similar things that I have lost my way.

    Thanks

I go for a minimum number of queries, all really well named so I can tell what they are for just by their name.

As for the content, just aim to get the query to do what you need it to do; loading it with unnecessary calculations or fields will just slow it down. However, if adding a field to a query means that it can serve multiple functions/uses is also quite fine.
