Question Unanswered: using an INSERT query to drop a long chunck of text into a memo field?

Alright... I know there is a lot wrong with what I'm trying to do here. I imagine there is a 255 character issue among others. There's probably also an apostrophe issue. What I'd like to do is save the text written into an unbound large text box into the memo column of a particular record in a particular table when the user clicks a button on the form. I've got the system dynamically generating the SQL INSERT statement based on the information the user provides on the form but it chokes when it gets to the text from the large text box. Is there a way to do this? I heard using a recordset to perform the task might be the way to go but I don't know anything about that. I've also heard that that can be considerably slower. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

So you should study this. Start with the help files!

    RAW example:

    Dim rcs as Recordset
    Set rcs = CurrentDB.OpenRecordset(<SQLSTATEMENT>)
    rcs.MoveFirst
    rcs.Edit
    rcs!MemoFieldName = Me.TextBoxControlName
    rcs.Update
    Set rcs = Nothing
