Question Unanswered: XML Patch SQL Function

    Hello,

This is Kaja Mohideen from Chennai, India. I'm totally new to Oracle 11G XMLDB. Actually, I want to insert new nodes, updates text nodes & attributes in my XML Documents stored in XML DB. I thought of using the XMLPatch SQL Function. But, Whenever I use the predicates in XPath (XML Diff), I'm getting the following error message. Kindly help me.

LPX-00918: XmlPatch encountered an error in translating XPATH using XmlXVM
    Thanks in advance,

    R Kaja Mohideen

Cause: XmlPatch encountered an invalid XPATH in the diff document.
Action: If you handcoded the diff document, make sure all the XPATHs in the diff document are valid.

    Thanks for your reply cis_groupie.

I have already got this Cause & Action statements from Oracle website. What I need is, when I give predicates in my XPath to select a particular branch of tree, it gives me that error. If I give the index of the Branch, it works fine. How can I make predicates to work?

    Thanks in advance,
