    Unanswered: Data & Time,last dump run

    Hi to ALL,

    Is there any sql command to get the date and time of the last run backup command/the last run of dump database?Except if you don't want to look the backup log.

    No, but would be nice to have. If you do want to store it in a table, then you might have to write a wrapper to register start/end times in your backup scripts.

    I cannot, it depends on what kind of scripting you are using to do backup. The logic would be something like below. But you need to figure out the actual syntax based on your environment.

    1. Figure out dumpfile name/s
    2. Insert into yourtable or logfile, with servername, database, filename/s timestamp and flag that it started
    3. Do the actual dump
    4. Insert into yourtable or logfile with servername, database, timestamp, filename/s and flag
