Unanswered: Copying SQLServer 2005 to 2000

I'm thinking about copying a SQL Server 2005 database to a 2000 server.

I need to analyze data from a large table with "text" columns from a 2005 server, which is not directly available, and a 2000 server is.

    According to this link http://www.codeproject.com/KB/databa...005to2000.aspx...
Microsoft has made it very easy to move databases from 2000 to 2005 by using backup and restore built into the admin tools, but this is not backwards compatible and has caused some issues, to say the least.
Does anyone have experience using the backup/restore and/or the Publishing Wizard mentioned in the link? What about the text-type columns which I need? Could it cause issues?

    Thanks,
