    Assuming that Outlook Express is your default mail program...

    Change the Hyperlink Address property to: "mailto: youraddress@somewhere.com"

    That should do the trick.

    that sort of works but am i doing it right
    changed the property to hyperlink in the table and type in a value eg
    mailto:me@mydomain.com in the table
    but is there an easier way to save typing mailto with each value
    thanks

    You could do something with the OnClick event of the button. Try setting the HyperlinkAddress from inside the OnClick event. Then you don't have to have the mailto: as part of the table.

    Something like:

    cmdButton.HyperlinkAddress = "mailto:" & txtTextBox

    txtTextBox could be a textbox on your form that is bound to your table and would contain the email address that you are looking for.

    Good luck.
