Unanswered: enabling triggers while bcp in

I want to bcp into the table and want the triggers to fire. Looks like the default is not to fire the triggers when bcp' in. Is there a way to change to enable the insert triggers to fire while doing the bcp?

No, one of the reasons why bcp is faster is because it ignores rules/triggers. The only other option you have is,

    Option 1

    a) After bcp, have some process which does what the trigger does.

    Option 2

    a) bcp into a stage table,
    b) process in a cursor or something and do inserts.

But then you are losing the performance side.

    Hi

I believe the better idea would be to bcp that data in a temp table and then do a insert into it . What you say ?

condition is we are having enough log space
