Unanswered: SQL Server 2000 / SQL Server agent

    Hello All -

I've been tasked with migrating a sql server 2000 setup to a new box. I'm running into one stumbling block; I loaded msdb from the old server to get all their DTS jobs onto my server. I can see the DTS packages as a non-sa user under enterprise manager (Data Transformation Services -> Local Packages), but I cannot see them from Management -> Sql Server Agent -> Jobs. I CAN see them here when connected as SA. I'm assuming it's some sort of permissions issues, but my google skills fail me - any ideas?

    Thanks!

    Amy

FYI - one of the other DBA's here helped me out. I had to add the user to msdb, and grant them TargetServersRole and db_datareader role.

You could have just created a server link and did an insert into sysdtspackages select * from [linkserver].msdb..sysdtspackages, works good, the other thing I do is just create .DTS files and load them one at a time. Don't forget to change your connection properties.
