    Unanswered: offline search

Are the dbforums and in particular the MSSQL forum available offline?

For example POFFS is used by the powerBASIC community as an offline database of all their forum threads. The powerBASIC forum admin provide regular database updates that can be viewed offline using the POFFS frontend.

No, there is no way to read DBForums offline now and there is no change planned to support it.

what's offline? Is that like when the computer is off?
“If one brings so much courage to this world the world has to kill them or break them, so of course it kills them. The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry.” Earnest Hemingway, A Farewell To Arms.

An offline reader harvests content from a web site or discussion forum, and presents that content (and usually allows you to reply or contribute) without needing to connect to the source.

An offline forum reader is sort of like an RSS reader, but most offline readers allow you to participate in the forum instead of just reading it. Offline UnseNet readers include QWK, Slipper, SOUP, YARN, ZipNews, and many others.

I don't know of any offline reader that will work with DBForums.

Heck, frequently its not even available ONLINE.
If it's not practically useful, then it's practically useless.
