    Reg: Operating System

    Hi,
    Use of Touch screen in Compaq laptops.I had Windoes vista before now it is Windows Xp sp2.I need to know how can you use the touch screen options. Do i need to install anything to support with XP.

    Vista would be my first choice for touchscreen support on a Compaq (HP). If you can find the correct device drivers, it is probably possible to get XP Tablet Edition to work on that hardware too.

    We use a touch screen interface on XP without any problems. It deos mean that the software has to be written to take adavanatge of touchscreen techniques (bigger finger sized buttons), pope up keypad, again finger sized.

    the finger acts as a mouse so pointer use ins't that much of a problem, you can run a mouse as well as the touch screen concurrently, you can also have a keyboard connected as well.

    the rest of it is up to you.....
    I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton
