Unanswered: How to find the date value included within a string

    hi ,
I have created a function in sql server 2005 which translates the gives string .The translated captions are stored in a table where there is language id and original text (word by word ).

    i have a block like

    declare @text nvarchar(4000)

    select @Text = 'figures as at 31 may 2008'

when i want to translate this text , there is translation available for two words , one is May as month and may as in grammer.

Can anybody help me in this context.

How can i make sure that this is May as month or may as grammer and translate it accordingly.

If you need any more info pls let me know,

    Thanks in advance .

    One Flump in One Place
Well, if your dates are always in that format then May (May not may) may well fall between two numbers:
    LIKE '%[0-9] may [1-2]%'
    pootle flump
    ur codings are working excelent.
