    Unanswered: null value handling

    Dear All

I m using oracle 9i. I created a report based on a table. How can I convert a null value into zero. bcaz when I performing calculation it doesn't show answer. But when I replaces null to zeros physicallay in table then result appear.

Please tell me how I convert null into zero. as we use "NVL" function in oracle.

    Thanks.

If you can already do this on the Oracle side of things, why don't you keep it there!
Create a view or sproc that uses the NVL function to eliminate these NULLs and then use this as the base for your report.

    Dear Georgev

I solved the problem by using report options.

    Thanks.
