    Unanswered: Export Single Record

    Hi All,

How can I export a single record (from a form) to excel or outlook so it can be emailed to a co-worker?

I created a report that did showed each record on it's own page, but I just want the selected record to be on the report.

    Thanks,

    So....

    What do you want?

To export a single record to Excel

    or

To export a single record to Outlook

    or

Email one record to a recipient

    or

To restrict a report to a single record

    or

Print one specific page of a report

    or

    Printscreen

    or

    Copy and Paste

All would seem to answer your question!

    I think...

If you have a button on the form to email the record you need to first filter the form for that particular record. If you don't it will try to send out the entire recordsource of the form. It is similar to what happens when you print the form and it produces a form shot for each record.

    Hope this helps, Stu

Ok, so first have the report use a Record Source that is fetching only that record you want to include and you can then use SendObject to e-mail that report to your recipient

How often does this need arise? Should it be automated or done on a once-off basis?

It will be done no more than twice a week. It does not need to be automated. I will try the advice. I will let you know how it works.
