    Unanswered: can we represent junction table in ER Diagram or not?

    I have one junction table i want to introduce in E-R Diagram.
    But i am having confusion ,actually i went tru some documents in that it has been written like Junction table can only be introduced in Relatonal
    Schema Diagram(Peter Chen).But Junction table can't produce ER-D

    can any body help me .....i am getting confusion .....

    There's no reason that I can think of as to why you can't have a junction table in a ERD, as the whole point of having an ERD is to build a logical model on which to base your physical database.

    But Junction table can't produce ER-D
    I don't understand what you mean by this; are you saying that a junction table cannot be produced in an ERD? If so, then see my answer above.
    90% of users' problems can be resolved by punching them - the other 10% by switching off their PCs.
