    Unanswered: Reg: Mirroring

    Hi ,

    I was trying to mirror a device, i could able to mirror it in a local machine.
    How to mirror device in a remote machine(ie original device is in a machine say X and how to place the mirror in machine say Y)

    i tried using the IP address but i could't able to do it.

    can you just help me out..

    Even I have tried the same thing but it doesn't work.

    Are you talking about Sybase mirroring. If so, as long as it is reachable thro a OS command, its possible. In other words a link in some way.

    For eg., You could map a network drive in Windows NT to a different host say X:\myotherhost\devices and give this path in your sybase mirror command.

    yah i am talking about sybase mirroring, i have tried with mapping the remote host as a drive but still got an error as access denied though it has full permission

    Im guessing, its failing on the Active Directory Authentication.

    Did you share the drive from the host where it needs to be mirrored?

    Sorry, havent done this myself in NT. Thought it should be possible.

    yah i have shared the folder from the host.
    I am getting windows Nt error 5...
