    Unanswered: restore controlfile

    Hi All,

at my production server I used backup RMAN for backup controlfile and keep at
    /oracle/live/backup/controlfile/contorl_file_ACLPROD_05jrct0h_5_20080924

Can I restore it to other server by following parameter pfile?

    Thanks

Yes you can restore to another server, but what do you mean by "by following parameter pfile"?
    What is your requirement?

You are going to have to move the backups and the controlfile to
the server you want to restore to.

I would recommend making/fudging the same path to the rman
backups on the new server as you had on the old server.

ie: older server backups went to: /backup01/rman
new server backups should reside: /backup01/rman
