    Unanswered: Receive E-mail through Access?

    Good Evening

I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction. I'm trying to set up an e-mail program that would allow me to receive e-mails within Microsoft Access. The idea is that we have common e-mail addresses that everyone views and works off of. This will allow us to monitor response times and manipulate the forms to save the time of having to bounce back and forth. This will also eliminate a lot of paper.

I've googled 'receive e-mail microsoft access' and could not find a thing.

    Thanks in advance

you can't receive emails in Access, you can however import emails received in Outlook and process them in Access. using VBA you can 'drive' Outlook from VBA, as you can drive any VBA aware application, and vice versa

you would need to reference the outlook object library

theres been a few threads in the Access forum on doing that
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton
