Unanswered: Convert Dataease x5 to MDB in full

Need assistance ladies/gents, got real old Dataease Ver 5, I know I can buy real expensive software but would love to know if it could be converted using free software.

The database was created 20-years ago and I now really need it in MDB format.

    Any suggestions are welcome.....

Follow Up DataEase-To-Access Table Migration Utility 1.2

The software I would like to try in full is DataEase-To-Access Table Migration Utility 1.2, this would allow the Dataease Database to be exported to Access 2000.

If anyone knows how I may obtain this please reply

Do you just want to convert the tables, or to 'clone' the entire appliation to Access? If you have access to the designer level of the application it is very easy to just export all records to CSV or Tabbed output, one table at a time. There is a utilty called datagrab if I recall that can automate this. When I used DataEase I was one of the top expert developers, but I have not touched it in years; switched to Alpha Five.

If you want to clone the app, then the migration tool is what you need, or hire a company that specalizes in this. But I have seen the results of such 'migration' and you get a 20-year old application sitting in a nice new Access envelope, with ugly forms that all need to be redesigned. I would never migrate, I'd rewrite.

Yeah I also had to do this, I migrated the data and designed a few front end.

Did you manage to migrate the tables, or at least extraxt the data from DataEase?

I need the data only, in order to use in completly new aplication runing upon MS SQL server.

I found the datagraber, but I can not run it.

    Thank you in advance.
