I am trying to deign a database that will be populated from information from a word doc. I can open the document using vba, but can't go any further. I need to basically search the document for a specific phrase, then begin my code to extract the information (unfortunately the info is only saved as a doc or pdf....no chance of csv here). However, the info to be sorted adds up to about 1 million characters. I tried api calls to get the info from the clipboard, but access crashes each time. I also tried a text box, but I'm trying to eliminate the tedious process of multiple copy/paste.....wait/repeat that would be entailed. Also, I would like to keep this mostly user free, as some poeple who may use this lack basic computer skills.
