    Unanswered: Memo Field truncated in query result

    Hello,
    I have fallen into access trap that truncates memo field in the query result
    And i can't find the way out. Please help!

    My query does not do the Grop By or Counts or else.
    I chang it to a straight query and I got the entire contents of the field.

    But when I'm trying to use the result of this query with few other query, the Memo Field is truncated in query result.???

    Please need your help.

    Thank you

    ..and which is the memo column you are struggling with?

    normally Ive come across this when you do some manipulation on the memo column inside the query.. its a known issue with JET
    I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton

    I've handled this in the past by creating a function in which that function can be used in the query.

    For example, my function would look like this:

    Function RetMemoField(MemIn as variant) as variant
    retMemoField = MemIn
    end function

    And then use that in a query column as a expression (ie: ExpressionNewMemo: RetMemoField([TableMemoFieldName])
