    Unanswered: sybase deadlocks

What is the best way to get information about the sessions involved in a deadlock in sybase database. I want this information without reading error log.

    Hi,
Deploy a shell script that reports these messages from the error log to you via email.

In the master database you have some system tables you can query: syslocks and sysprocesses

    More about these tables:

    turn on logging for deadlocks
    sp_configure 'print deadlock information',1

download the very nice check errorlog script from Rob Verchoor's site:
    http://www.sypron.nl/chklog.html

and modify as you wish, and place in your crontab ..
