    Unanswered: Append Query for multiple columns in same table in Access database

    Hi Friends,

    I am new to this forum and I am looking for some advice.

    Can anyone tell me if we can use Append Query on many columns in a single table or it is just restricted to one column per table.

    Any feedback will be highly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Aroma

    Yes, you can append any number of columns. In fact, the typical use of an APPEND query is to deal with entire records (all columns).

    All fields example:

    INSERT INTO TableName
    SELECT TableName.*
    FROM TableName;
    Owner and Manager of
    CypherBYTE, Microsoft Access Development Specialists.
    Microsoft Access MCP.
    And all around nice guy!
