    Unanswered: Problems with reading the value of text field

    The DB server is SQL Server 2000, and the database approximatedly includes 1M records , for example, the db structure:
    1. UserID int,
    2. Name varchar(50),
    3. Content text
    and because the field content maybe includes more than 8k data, i use text datatype, and according to application, i must obtain all the dataset.
    the client developing tools is VC++6.0. I use Recordset to store the data,
    m_pRecordset->CursorLocation = adUseServer;
    m_pRecordset->CacheSize=1000;
    m_pRecordset->Open(strSql,xxx,adOpenForwardOnly,adLockReadOnly, adCmdText);
    thus, when i read the content field, the field always returns vm_empty,
    and if i reduce the cachesize to 1, all the data is ok, who can tell me why?

    I'm pretty ignorant of VC++ but isn't this a client problem not a SQL Server problem?
