Unanswered: Visual Basic error in Access 2007

I have an access 2000 file that tuns fine with 2007. I can compile the code and compact the databasein the 2000 format even in 2007. However when I save it in the 2007 format I get the following message when I try to compile or compact and repair. Microsoft Visual Basic" "File Not Found".

I usally have to click OK 18 times and then the file reopens and works fine. Why am I getting this message. Any help appreciated.

Dunno, but I can advise you not to bother trying to fix it.

I have experienced a very high rate of corruption issues after converting significant works from previous versions of access. They seem to work, but for weird issues that seem unresolvable.

What you should do is once you have converted the file, create a NEW Access 2007 database and import all your objects into it from the converted database. It solves a whole mess of issues -- some that you may not be aware of yet.

I always do this as part of the conversion now.

If it refuses to convert in the first place, that's a whole different kettle of fish.
